 Welcome to the Nozawa Onsen Ski School! The Nozawa Onsen Ski School offers a variety of lessons and activities throughout the Ski Season ranging from general ski and snowboard, kids' and private lessons to snow shoeing tours and camps. Whether it is intense one-on-one training with a professional coach or you're just looking to enjoy the scenic trails, there's something available for all ages.

SKI & SNOWBOARD LESSONS

Choose from a variety of packages to suit your budget and needs. Our general ski and snowboard lessons will help you to learn to ski or to fine tune your techniques. These lessons are run daily with one-day and half-day (morning/afternoon) sessions. Depending on your experience, our qualified instructors will be able to teach you the basics or help you improve your techniques. For more information, please come to the front desk during reception hours. Due to popular demand and limited instructor availability, we are only able to book one day in advanced between 3pm and 5pm or between 8:30am and 9:45am on the morning of the lesson. Children must be at least 12 years of age for ski lessons or 10 years of age for snowboarding lesson. We also recommened a helmet for safety purposes.

*Please note that lift passes may be required for these lessons and that the lessons are only available in Japanese.

Lift pass & lesson package

Get a discount on a one-day lift pass when you purchase with a lesson! Normally priced at ¥4,600, we can include a lift pass in the lesson for a total of ¥7,500 (¥4,000 lesson and a ¥3,500 lift pass).

Enrolments

The school is open for enrolments between 8:30am and 9:45am on the day of the lesson. Afternoon sessions are open for enrolment between 12:30pm and 12:45pm. 

 

 

KIDS & JUNIOR SKI TEAMS

For the duration of the ski season, Kids and Junior Ski Teams are run at the Hikage school. From 3 years of age to 12 years of age, we offer lessons tailored around the different levels of experience from beginners to intermediate skiers.

Mini Kids: 3-4 years of age

Kids Team: 5-9 years of age

Juniors: 10-12 years of age

Please note that these lessons may be full depending on the number of instructors available and the number of pupils enrolled on that day. You may also book one day in advanced from 3pm to 5pm on the day before the lesson.

Lift passes are included in the Kids and Junior lessons for the duration of the lesson only.
